Department of English offers the study of English Language and English Literature. The college follows the syllabus prescribed by Shaheed Nandkumar Patel Vishwavidyalaya to which it is affiliated. In English Language, we teach about India’s composite culture - ancient and modern; about science and scientists right from ancient India, and their scientific inventions; and also about different aspects of development that includes the teaching of Democratic Decentralization, New Economic Policy, Information Technology, Globalization and Women Empowerment. Language teaching also incorporates the teaching of vocabulary and Grammar exercises, Letter- writing, Paragraph writing, Report writing, Expansion of an idea, Précis writing and Essay writing.
In English literature, the department offers to teach different Ages of English Literature in detail. The teaching of Poetry, Prose, Drama and Fiction is done to provide the complete knowledge of literature to the students. An insight into Indian writings in English and American Literature is also given in the best interests of the students.
