Government college Gharghoda, district Raigarh, Chhattisgarh is established in August, 2008. It is geographically located at 22.178o N, 83.344o E. The college is previously affiliated to Atal Bihari Vajpayee Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh; it is now affiliated to Shaheed Nandkumar Patel Vishwavidyalaya, Raigarh. It offers under graduate courses in science, arts and commerce. The college is committed to provide affordable quality education and value-based learning to the students of tribal area. It is initially started in school building in the session 2008-09, later in the year 2014 it is shifted to present campus. Since then it is making strides in terms of academic and infrastructural up-gradation which has enabled it to emerge as a fore-runner in education in the rural and economically backward, tribal-populated area.
